What Money Go is

Money Go is a personal finance app that helps you see where your money goes. It connects to your bank accounts (via Plaid), pulls in transactions, and helps categorize and review spending. It is operated by German Espitia as a friends-and-family pre-release.

Information we collect

When you use Money Go, we may collect:

  • Account information — your email address and basic profile data needed to sign in (via Supabase authentication).
  • Bank and transaction data — account names, balances, and transaction details retrieved through Plaid when you choose to link a bank.
  • App usage data — things like categories you assign, notes you add, and sync status needed to run the app.

How we use your data

We use your information to provide the app: syncing transactions, categorizing spending, showing summaries, and improving your experience. We do not sell your personal data.

Plaid

Bank linking is handled by Plaid. When you connect an account, Plaid collects credentials and account data according to their own privacy policy. Money Go receives transaction and account data from Plaid to power budgeting and categorization in the app.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run the app (for example, Plaid for bank linking and Supabase for authentication and storage). We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing.

Retention and security

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to operate the service. We use reasonable technical measures to protect data in transit and at rest, but no system is perfectly secure.

Your choices

You can disconnect linked banks in the app and request account deletion by contacting us. Removing your account will stop new data collection; we will delete or anonymize stored data when feasible.
